The backyard of this new construction home in Modesto California was a blank slate for this new homeowner. Luckily, she saw this as an opportunity to get exactly what she wanted. Given the warm summers in the central valley, the owner wanted several spaces for entertaining, a sense of connection between the inside and out, and a place for her dog to explore. Picking up on the owner’s preference for curves, the Think Outside designer created a curved edge that connects the vegetable garden, seating area, and dining gardens all together. Oak trees were selected for shade, paired with flowering trees and potted flowers for seasonal interest. Warm toned concrete compliments the tones of the homes connecting site and structure. With their plan in hand, the owner of this home is ready to create the new highlight of her new home.
